My path to lactation consulting began long before I earned the credential. After becoming a registered nurse, I spent several years caring for critically ill adults before moving to the NICU, where I found my calling supporting infants and families through some of life's most vulnerable moments.

 

Becoming a mother myself — and facing the real challenges of early breastfeeding firsthand — only deepened that calling, and in 2008 I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. That same drive to keep learning led me to complete a Family Nurse Practitioner degree and board certification as well — training that deepened my clinical knowledge well beyond lactation alone.

Today, I bring more than 25 years of nursing experience to Scarsdale Lactation, offering families the kind of support I believe every new parent deserves: unhurried, knowledgeable, and genuinely personal. My philosophy is simple — feeding goes more smoothly when a parent has a clear plan, understands her options, and has someone who truly listens. I also stay connected for a week or two after we meet, so you're never navigating those early adjustments alone.
